Detailed introduction

The 330kW wind turbine unit at Shanghai University of Electric Power is part of an intelligent microgrid integrating wind, solar, and energy storage systems, designed by the State Grid Energy Conservation Design Institute specifically for Shanghai University. Located in the Lingang New Area of Shanghai, the project sits 30 km from the coastline. The site’s foundation lies on impact-formed sandy beaches with a high groundwater table—water seeps to the surface within just 2 meters below ground level. To address challenges like foundation settlement and the region’s soft, water-saturated soil conditions, the project employs eight 600-mm-diameter, 35-meter-deep pipe piles, effectively stabilizing the structure.
